Miami Beach Historic Hotel Renovation
When a forward-thinking hotel brand from Barcelona asks you to collaborate with them to open their first US outpost in Miami Beach, you can’t refuse, even when that project is to be within a historic set of buildings in the heart of Southbeach.
Our AxelBeach client presented a very boisterous and provocative design worthy of the Axel brand. Design elements included a new jacuzzi overlooking the swimming pool, an illuminated, color changing glass exterior dance floor, a new open-air restaurant and a new hotel entry experience. The challenge was twofold; how to garner the support of City officials and the Historic Preservation Board (HBP) and how to technically insert these alternations into a very old building.

Neuvio’s team of activists, engineers, technicians and creative thinkers were able to garner a unanimous approval vote from the HPB and engineer all the design elements requested by Axel while respecting the historic buildings. The results are magical!
